NATO: Painting Pakistan Red!

Editor’s Note: The article speaks straight from the hearts of the millions of Pakistanis who have reacted sharply to this massacre of the motherland’s soldiers. Where from this point on, relationship US-Pakistan? It spirals in a downward plunge, will the plunge stop?It depends on the heads ruling Washington. Read this account by Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204630904577061270317324992.html . USA needs to respect Pakistan. For a change. The question is: Will she?

24-Setting the Course!

Thanks NATO for waking up Pakistan!

Jawad Raza Khan

(Map clearly marks where each of the soldiers of the Nation came from. All Over Pakistan).

The decisions of Defence Committee in the wake of NATO’s unprovoked aggression against Pakistan Army have been hailed all across Pakistan and huge protests are still going on all along the lengths and breadths of the country. “24- Setting the course” is dedicated to the officers and men from proud Pakistan Army who belonged to each and every corner of Pakistan. This is the magnificence of Pakistani nation, we all, from anywhere in the country, not only participate in building the nation but more than proudly, we die together and colour the map of complete Pakistan with our blood. (See map of Pakistan punctuated with home towns of our great Shaheeds).

Yes! It was 25th November 2011 when Americans topped the list of coward acts in the history of mankind; when they killed 24 officers and men of Pakistan Army who happens to be guarding the frontiers of Pakistan while helping them in their so called War on Terror. Undoubtedly the loss is irreparable and demands great degree of resilience as a nation to understand digest and then react to this gutless action.

One day before the above mentioned shameless action, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the militants have successfully targeted a US helicopter on Thursday in the Qarabagh district of Kabul Province and all 34 foreign troops on board have been killed (Reported by Press TV). Point to note, just one day after Taliban’s action against US forces, it was revenged by US in a non-soldiery, unethical and in a completely unbecoming manner. This also indicate towards the mindset of US soldiers fighting in Afghanistan, completely helpless, hopeless and shameless.

But what a big difference between 34 & 24, US media had to hide the deaths of US soldiers because it could trigger unrest in US and can add fuel to the Wall Street campaign. On the other hand Pakistani soldiers after their unprovoked killings have been able to set a new course for this nation; the martyrs are enthusiastically hailed by cross section of Pakistani society; with their proud loved ones gratefully attaining pride after the young death of their precious one.

On the other hand, Pakistanis feels extremely sad about the friends and relatives of US soldiers who are dying to darkness and just for nothing with their bodies not taken to their homes and buried at unknown places (in order to avoid media highlights inside and outside US).

Continuous and vigorous effort of western and western owned Pakistani private media (only an exception) has now been multiplied by zero. Wedge between military and civil fabric of Pakistan was again turned down emphatically by the masses as whole of the Pakistan is now protesting against US and in favour of Pakistan Army. It is now very much understood by Pakistanis that prerequisite for west to ignite instability in any country starts after creating a clear wedge between Armed Forces and the masses. In this case, it turned out to be a debacle for US and its greedy allies because Pakistanis like its cricket team are an unpredictable entity difficult to be anticipated.

The blocking of NATO official page on Facebook for comments can easily bear the testimony of angry Pakistani youth who commented nothing but SHAME on NATO page. The administrator had to technically deal with this huge influx of cyber assault carried out by fuming Pakistani cyber militia. Resultantly NATO official had to ban the users “what else they could do”?

One more nail in the coffin is required; Pakistan may also consider denying air space to ISAF and NATO for any operation in Afghanistan. The stopped supplies for NATO will easily make them bleed from everywhere as now the Russians have also denied them supply routes after the expected failure of joint defence conference for missiles between US and Russia. Two possibilities shaking hands can leave 130000 caolition troops starving for bread and bullet in the face of fierce Talibans. What a pity!

On the other side of the border, two historic events happened in last 24 hrs, the traders union has banned all items in Pakistani market manufactured in NATO countries; the cable operators association of Pakistan has stopped airing BBC in the wake of a stupidly made documentary against Pakistan Army and ISI “The secret of Pakistan. My dear 24 soldiers, you have done it in two hours what we couldn’t do it in 60 years, united Pakistan in an unbreakable bond against all odds.

Pakistan should play its cards sagaciously from now on, boycotting the Bonn Conference is yet another brilliant verdict and Pakistani media should not undermine it. The world knows that it is merely impossible to change the geography of a region in today’s free world. Nuclear Pakistan makes dismantling of Afghan- Pakistan relation nearly an impossible preposition, especially in the backdrop of strong religious similarities and a unique relation of a big brother with Afghans. Bonn conference without Pakistan is like “an idiot dog chasing its own tail” and Pakistan must have a firm belief that “dog will not be able to catch up”.

24- Have indeed changed the course “Well Done Soldiers”!

All Pak Army had to do to get widespread support was to give NATO a couple of hours to kill 24 soldiers? Suddenly all the military intelligence treachery is simply swept under the rug. Perhaps this is why they let it happen. What else could explain putting 40 soldiers on the line of fire, without providing them air support? All it took to get the citizens on board for the war against militants in Swat was allowing Shariah and the Qazi courts. In the frenzy of the moment passion trumps reason. By the way, the Russians have not cut-off NATO transit, merely raised the possibility in relation to the missile shield.

My dear sir, my observation as a student of psychology is that you are a thorough bread American. The only reason i am so convinced is not that i know you, but perhaps this typical state of mind of yours is very much known to the world now. Your point could have been very valid if it would have been said for your United State of America, as you have mastered this art over the period of more than a century. To be more precise you recently killed 2874 innocent Americans and their mothers and wives are still in search of the result of 9/11 inquiry commission. Sir this part of the world does not live in caves , it may be your sweet wish but (in the language you understand) every day is not Sunday. Killing own people for petty gains is American policy not ours, please reconcile at your end. God Bless Americans

shame about the innocent pakistani soldiers. the real treason is from the top brass who could not muster air support for them in 2 hours????
those bastards let them die for they petty gains and games including the treasonable politicians!!

poor pakistan and to think my family lost 137 members to let these clowns and parasites as our rulers in the separation of 1948!!

have you not noticed that in fighting western countrys who are aggressors, our air forces, navies and armies are unable to do so!
the whole muslim ummah cannot muster our navies to let brave people take food and medicine to the gaza strip with an escort under international law, but we are able to fight somali pirates who are being systematically looted of they sea resources and having nuclear waste dumped on they shores????

does,nt that make you proud to be a muslim???

As the crisises make a man become an outstanding person,so it happens with the nation. This is the history of Pakistanis, starting from 1947 to 1965 war ,1971 debacle and now this unwarranted act of war by NATO/America on our Northern border.Such crisises work as unifying force ,a kind of cement to stand up against offensive forces.

sir ….what you said is soo true !!!

Wars r not won by technology or arms or number of troops…….had this been the case result of Badar would have been different…….and that was the message…….Americans or Russians would hv conquered afghanistan, Indians would hv brought Kashmiris on the knees to surrender…….and so many other examples….but despite of extreme measures, results show that technology, power, arms and strength is not recipe for any guaranteed success.

In the history and even today, Faith, courage and desire to succeed (or survive in our case) have been the deciding factors. Our nation is bleeding, or is made to bleed by the selfish ruthless, coward and knucklehead rulers, and their cruel allies……We have 2 choices, one is to stand firm against these rulers and the international powers with the Faith on Allah, show some courage and let our desire to live with honor be our guiding force…………this world will then InshaAllah see that what this nation is made up of………the other thing is that we keep quiet on whatever is done to us and take it as our fate…….in this case we will b the individuals…and then we should individually wait for any bomb blast in the mosque or in markets or on roads or the friendly fire of our Allies in War Against Terror, to finish this miserable life……..

In option 1, we might live one day….but that day will, for sure, change the rules of all the games being played in this region……..and perhaps the destiny of our next generations……in option 2 ….we will live few days more, but that life will not be called the life …it will be more of insult…..and will make us die every single moment as individuals ! like we r now a days……

May Allah be with us and make us able to take some brave stand collectively (they have to apologize, accept the responsibility of this reckless action…..General Allen should be removed / sent back……..there is no bullshit like ‘do more’ any more…..next time the fire will be returned OR We will not be attending the Bonn Conference…no NATO containers will pass through Pakistan….none of the basis shall be permitted to operate….and immidiately stop all military operations in Waziristan till the situation is reviewed……Aameen

A good article by Mr. Jawad. Mr. Peter Chamberlain Russia may have just threatened to stop transit trade, but bargaining with Russia will certainly have consequences on the war against terror. Remember they have an axe to grind. BTW what do you mean by military intelligence treachery, lets be clear Pakistan military and her intelligence are too superior to be treacherous. They are patriotic like any national army, but they cannot be treacherous. What could be treachery for you may be patriotic for Pakistanis. Do you imply that, the western/ NATO/ISAF should have been allowed to continue contaminating Pakistan ‘s military and her intelligence. NATO indeed has done this nation a favour and disfavour to themselves. The world condemns them today. What a shame they have to unceremonously hide the burial of their soldiers.
You think Pakistan let it happen, come on lets not twist known facts, Pakistan allowed 2nd May? or did she allow the brutal massacre of her troops on many other occasions too? This is sheer use of a super powers brutality, against countries who would not like to get involved in a war against them. But if pushed against the wall, it would mean; “you asked for it”.
We are a nation of traditional values and our form of democracy should also be based on our traditional values. This western democracy is also not acceptable to the literate Pakistanis. Every province and the tribals have their own values, where in they remain comfortable and all their values have inbuilt characterics and machanisms (like safety valves) Why not the Sharia or Qazi courts, the people are not uncomfortable with the arrangement.

Thank you for posting the article, yes it reflects the sentiments of pakistanis. I call such voices ‘Haq ki Awaz”.Our integrity demands that we take a stand for ourselves. My belief is we will be helped by Allah and will be on the road of recovery.

Since the first Army incursions into S. Waziristan on behalf of the US, the people have resisted killing their own in America’s war. Several years and hundreds of terrorist attacks later, the Army seems to have the people’s full support. It is all psychological warfare and behavioral control. Military to military contacts have made Pakistan’s military susceptible to Pentagon manipulation, just like in Egypt. The military (all of our various militaries) is the problem. We are all immersed in a massive psywar. Seeing through the fog of this war is the near impossibility.

This incident, like the Abottabad psyop, is not what it seems. Once again, the Pak Army claims to be blind to what has happened on its watch:

    HI
Shocked at some of the witless replies here. Wake up Pakistanis. Taliban is no friend of ours and no citizen will allow them to set up their heartless fanatic regime here. Army is not army at all but a bunch of plunderers who make war on own peoples. Every war against India they have lost. USA is no friend either, they have contempt for us too. They have ruined Pakistan with the help of our own army.
Only answer is to build up our own country by ourselves. Apni quwat, apni jan. More than 1 million Pakis live in Europe, over 2 million in Mideast. Call them back by offering a better deal to them than they can get there. Vote out rogues and rascals. Chuck out the mullas and fanatics. Fully open the economy and give the revenue back to the people.
Forget about america and others. You cannot hurt them with abuse and we have no technology worth a damn. Awake and join up with Iran, Turkey and even India. They are our future.

When US does not understand the war strategy for tribal people of Pakistan, particularly of the 43 years hardened guerella warfare experts, with their swift engagement and disengagement art of war, giving new dimentions or calling it psyops, does not stand to operational logic. In any case; this or any other war strategy is always a combination of military and psyops. Ofcourse Pakistan has friendly tribals and tribes in their kitty, but the irony is that TTP has US weapons, they use $s as their currency, they have indian medicines and weapons, then there is also an inflow of Saudi Riyals, which leaves much to plan for any operation with hostile friendly forces also operating against Pakistan’s civilian population and its military. Putting Pakistan into a nonsense war, which was never Pakistan’s war, till gradually they were dragged into it.
Pakistan initially was to only provide logistic support to the NATO/ISAF and look where Pakistan stands today. The number of sucide bombings inside Pakistan, covert support to Mullah Fazlullah’s forces, who from a motorcycle rose to intercoolers and double cabin all expensive vehicles, How? where from did he get these riches, isn’t he in safe havens in Afghanistan? which intelligence sharing are we talking about, why is Baramdagh Bughti also operating from Afghanistan? Is this intelligence sharing, then people have the audacity of saying that, Pakistan is susceptible to Pentagons manipulation. Atleast some one agrees that pentagon is a manipulative organisation.
Last but not the least why did NATO/ISAF carry out unprovoked attack on Pakistan’s border posts? They had the coordinates of all the border posts of Pakistan, now they turn around and say, that Pakistan drew the first blood? It was a blatant use of illigitimate force by a bunch of losers, to provoke Pakistan into retaliation. It was force used in persuance of the memogate letter.

The Pakistan Govt. should now take the following bold actions while the “iron is hot”:-
    1. Tell the US that from now on if a single drone attack is launched the Pakistan
Airforce / Air Defence will shoot it down. We must back this up by really
shooting down one drone to give a signal to the US that we mean business
    2. if the US does not vacate the Shamsi Airbase by the given deadline, the
Pakistan Army should send down one Infantry Brigrade grouped with the
required number of Tank Regiment, Air Defence Units and an Artillery
Regiment to Shamsi Airbase to indicate that we seriously mean to get it
    vacated by force if necessary.
    3. Tell the US “TO DO MORE” to address the concerns of Pakistan such as
treat our country with respect, equality and dignity in future.

    So much for now.
